"Our new identity is a true reflection of who we are. We all love the way it looks, and the focus on the verbal language is spot on. Lantern left no stone unturned when getting to know us and so the strategy was right from the start.”

Claire Blyth, Managing Partner, Red Setter

A visual language inspired by storytelling at the speed of culture

Whether it’s online or in print, broadcast or podcast, amplifying the voice and value of design means Red Setter is always on – and always cutting through the conversation. We developed a visual language that’s inspired by the rolling, scrolling, streaming pace of today’s news agenda, delivering a new logo and identity system that – just like Red Setter themselves – never settles.

The deconstructed logo reflects a world in constant flux, while a visual timeline delivers the centrepiece of the new graphic system, enabling Red Setter to hero creative headlines as well as showcase a stream of changing imagery which run across invisible tramlines of content – often bleeding off the canvas to reflect constant motion.

Cut through content

A new colour palette is predominantly black and white – reflecting the clarity and conviction through which Red Setter speak. It's accented by Breaking Red and Anchor Blue, providing cut through in content. A new brand font, Klarheit Kurrent, is designed by type foundry Extraset and used to further amplify the concept of cut through. It's a geometric sans serif with extreme cuts and finishes in some of the basic alphabet.

Trend setter. Standard setter.
Pace setter. This is Red Setter.

A new verbal identity complements the visual system. Red Setter’s colleagues and clients are leaders in their field and a suite of creative headlines enable the brand to own their name – celebrating their forward thinking ethos whilst building brand recognition. The agency and the agencies they represent set the bar high. They set the agenda. They set the tone. They set the world on fire. And ultimately, they set you apart.

Champion creativity

A brand manifesto, positioning statement, internal values and an evolved strapline ‘PR for the world’s design pioneers’ capture’s the agency’s spirit. Longer copy addresses the fact that with 400,000 design agencies globally, the number of in-house teams rising fast and the media landscape changing faster, it’s never been tougher to tell the world why you matter. How do you navigate the paywalls, sponsored content and social channels to reach the right people? Prove your worth when the value of design is under threat? Drive business and talent when the battle for both gets harder? Build your own brand while you focus on your clients’? With Red Setter, you can.

Different by design

The new visual and verbal language is designed to create the same level of standout for Red Setter as they achieve for their clients. The system is documented in comprehensive brand guidelines and a suite of templates provides for launch, as well as new website designed to showcase the depth of their culture and coverage.

"We developed clear messages together that have changed how we operate as an agency for the better. We have a stronger sense of identity both internally and externally as a result of Lantern’s work. They’re lovely people to work with too!”

Claire Blyth, Managing Partner, Red Setter
