Branding for a charity investing in developing communities: New work for More Jobs Better Lives
More Jobs Better Lives (MJBL) strives to fulfil its namesake – creating jobs in regions they are needed most and to promote better lives for as many people as possible.
Helping communities for generations
More Jobs Better Lives’ mission is to help individuals and communities to create jobs in developing countries, improving the prospects of their local community as well as for the nation. This is done by providing knowledge and education to youth who will lead the next generation, as well as funds and foundational knowledge for young, passionate, and motivated local entrepreneurs or business owners, who will in turn create a steady growth of employment opportunities and knowledge for those around them. Currently, through apprenticeships and scholarship schemes for individuals, MJBL offers training and resources to developing nations.
Ripples of change
More Jobs Better Lives and their local agency partner, Paradox, approached Lantern to create an identity for the scheme. The identity is based on the idea of change radiating out from a single entrepreneur within a community. MJBL believe that by providing resources and education to young entrepreneurs, they can create opportunities and employment prospects for their whole communities.
Sustainable community revolution
Currently, MJBL are operating in Nepal and Tanzania and has welcomed students from Tanzania, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, predominantly offering opportunities in the agriculture sector. MJBL plan to expand their movement to other developing countries, and move beyond the agriculture sector by assessing the needs of each nation and creating opportunities that will have the greatest long-term impact.
